Our Backstory
About A.M. Yale
A.M. Yale began her career as a media producer and published writer, combining her creative storytelling abilities with an eye for audience engagement. This foundation in crafting compelling narratives would later prove invaluable in her business career and her journey as an author.
Transitioning into the technology sector, Yale built a successful career as a Chief Marketing Officer, specializing in defining new markets and building commercial strategies for B2B technology companies. Her expertise spans diverse industries, including AI, Robotics, Cybersecurity, Business Operations, and Deep Tech. As Marketing Partner at DCVC, a prominent Deep Tech venture capital firm, she advised portfolio companies on brand development and commercial strategy. Her leadership roles at companies like AppZen, Illumio, and Varonis were marked by significant growth and market expansion.
Yale's personal journey with weight management and nutrition began in childhood and continued through her demanding career in technology. Facing health challenges and armed with decades of experience with various weight loss approaches, she started on a transformative journey using GLP-1 medication for a limited time. This experience, extensive research, and collaboration with nutrition experts led to significant insights about sustainable weight management and healthy eating habits.
After achieving her own sustainable weight loss, Yale felt compelled to write the book she wished she had found at the start of her journey. Working with registered dietitian Melissa Mitri, she created a practical guide that pairs her candid personal story with science-based nutritional guidance. The result is an honest exploration of using GLP-1 medications while building lasting healthy habits. Yale holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Cal State Northridge and studied at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
